Sunday School to be Born Anew on March 2

Sunday, March 2, will be a NEW day for St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church.  Our Sunday Sunday ministry will begin anew, with new learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults.  We know how important it is for us to offer opportunities for the whole family, and this is an important step in that direction.  After worship that day, we will have lunch together and then classes will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.

Since Pastor Evan also serves Trinity Lutheran before our worship, and because there is a desire for him to teach on Sunday morning, Sunday School will meet after worship on the 1st Sunday each month (including March 2).  On the other three Sundays, classes will be held before worship.  Here are the details on classes and meeting times:

1st Sunday of the Month
12:00 – Lunch (provided by St. Jacob’s)
12:30 – Children’s class (K-5th grade), Youth class (middle and high), Adult class taught by Pastor Evan

All other Sundays
Children and Youth
9:45 – Welcome and snack for children
10:00-10:45 – Children’s class and Youth class
Adults
9:45-10:45 – Lectionary Bible Study
9:45-10:45 – A second class focusing on individual books of the Bible, topics, or a contemporary book
We are excited about what God is doing in our midst!  We’re looking forward to a great community gathering to begin each month, with lunch and learning together.  Let’s make every first Sunday a special Sunday of invitation, welcoming our neighbors, friends, and family to worship, lunch, and learning for the whole family!
